From unimaginable pain to a forever home

Dusty has been through more than any dog should ever have to endure.

A few months ago, he was fighting his way back from unimaginable pain. He had already lost one leg, survived surgery, and was learning to adapt to life on three legs.

Then, just when we thought Dusty was finally safe, disaster struck again.

His front leg became caught in a snare. The damage was so severe that there was no way to save it. The kindest option was another amputation.

Another surgery. Another battle. Another chance to choose life.

And Dusty chose life.

Today, Dusty is thriving

After everything he has endured, Dusty continues to surprise us.

He is now safe at his forever home at Caro’s World of Magic, where he receives the rehabilitation, patience, care and love he needs to continue rebuilding his life.

And yes — there are plenty of treats too. ❤️

Dusty is still learning how to navigate his new world, but he is doing beautifully. Soon, he will take another important step in his journey when he is introduced to the Caro’s Pack.

His journey isn't over. There will be new experiences, new challenges and plenty for him to learn.

But for the first time, Dusty gets to discover what life is like when he doesn't have to worry about surviving.

He gets to rest.

He gets to heal.

He gets to play.

He gets to be loved.

And most importantly, he gets to stay.
